Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DigitalCabinet platform ("Service"), provided by Aretetic Solutions, LLC ("Aretetic," "we," "us," or "our"). By using this Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may choose not to participate in the registry or platform.

1. Service Overview

DigitalCabinet is a secure platform for individuals to contribute health-related information for research purposes, under the governance of a designated advocacy organization or registry sponsor. The platform supports electronic consent, surveys, file uploads, and access to your personal records. The platform complies with GDPR, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations.

2. Roles and Responsibilities

In accordance with GDPR:

• You are the Data Subject and Data Owner.
• The advocacy group or registry sponsor is the Data Controller (they determine how your data is used for research purposes).
• Aretetic Solutions, LLC is the Data Processor (we provide technical infrastructure to store and manage your data securely).

3. Consent and Data Use

Your participation is entirely voluntary. Before contributing data, you will be asked to review and electronically sign an informed consent form. Your data will be used only for the purposes you have consented to.

You may withdraw your consent at any time. Upon withdrawal:

• Your data will be deleted from the research database and will no longer be available to the Data Controller.
• Your account will be marked inactive and no longer contribute to research.
• You will continue to have access to your personal data before final deletion, and you may download it for your records.

4. Data Privacy and Security

All data is securely stored and processed in compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and other privacy frameworks. Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is stored separately from Protected Health Information (PHI), with strict access controls and encryption.

Aretetic Solutions, LLC processes data solely on behalf of the Data Controller and does not use your data for any commercial or unauthorized purpose.

5. Your Rights Under GDPR

As a data subject, you have the right to:

• Access the data you have provided.
• Correct inaccurate or outdated information.
• Withdraw your consent and request data deletion.
• Download a copy of your data at any time.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Provide data that you do not have the right to share.
• Disrupt or compromise the Service's functionality or security.
• Impersonate another individual or submit false information.

7. Data Ownership

You remain the full legal owner of all data you submit. Aretetic does not own your data and does not have rights to share, sell, or use it beyond supporting the Data Controller's research purposes.

You may download your data at any time. After withdrawing consent, your data will be purged from the research system, but you may retain your own copy.

8. Termination and Withdrawal

You may withdraw from the registry at any time through your account settings. Upon withdrawal:

• Your data will no longer be available to researchers.
• A final confirmation will be sent before permanent deletion.
• You will retain access to download your data, if desired.

9. Platform Changes

Aretetic Solutions, LLC may update the platform, improve security, or make changes to features from time to time. You will be notified of any changes that materially affect your experience or data access.
