Gail Stewart

Gail was fortunate enough to be in Milton Trager's first class at Esalen Institute in 1975. She was a student of Dr. Trager until his death in 1997, and has been a Trager® Instructor for more than 30 years. She trained in Somatic Therapy with Peter Levine and teaches in the Rigpa Spiritual Care Education Program, which offers training and care in the area of living and dying. Having a long history studying and teaching bodywork of various kinds, the process of ceasing life in a body is of deep interest to her.

Gail worked in collaboration with Dick and Chris frequently up until Dick's death in 1985 and continued to teach gestalt practice with Chris for years. Recently their work together has focused around matters of death and dying.
