Interviews
John Lilly circa 1938
This "room" brings together conversations from the past and interviews created specifically for the Library. Presented in audio, video, or transcript form, these interviews preserve the voices of people represented in the Archive and the memories of those who knew the teachers, practitioners, and communities documented here.
An interview with Beverly Silverman conducted by Dorothy Charles in which Bev recalls her work with Fritz Perls is available below.
The recordings of Wade Hudson's interview with Dick Price, conducted only a few months before Dick’s death have been compromised by time but are in the process of being salvaged as much as possible. A transcript edited by Christine Price will be forthcoming soon with audio to follow.
Also in preparation are selected excerpts from two longer conversations: one with Gail Stewart, reflecting on her studies with a range of somatic teachers, and one with Mike Murphy, co-founder of Esalen, speaking about his relationship with Dick Price.
We look forward to continuing to add interviews that bring the Archive to life through personal recollection and lived experience.
