Intro to the Archive

The Gestalt Practice Library and Resource Center archive is a curated collection of rare and original video, audio, and written materials spanning more than five decades of Gestalt Practice and related influences. At its core are recordings of Richard Price’s teaching—individual sessions, group work, demonstrations, and talks—captured on formats ranging from reel-to-reel and cassette tapes to VHS and 16mm film, now digitized for preservation and access.
Alongside these are interviews, workshops, and lectures from other teachers in the lineage, as well as materials reflecting the broader context of the human potential movement, gestalt psychology, Buddhist practice, Taoism, and holistic approaches to health. The collection also contains practice descriptions, exercise guides, and personal accounts that bring the experiential side of the work to life.
This archive serves both as a historical record—preserving voices and moments that might otherwise be lost—and as a living resource for study, inspiration, and continued practice
