Memorabilia

Contributions of Materials, Stories, and Memories

Would you like to contribute a written or recorded story, a bit of remembering, or a reflection on your experience with Dick Price, gestalt practice, or its offspring? Do you have materials related to the many facets of this Archive?

The Memorabilia project is a place where members of the Library can contribute materials and memories related to gestalt practice, Dick Price, and other people, work, and topics preserved here.

At the moment, as we prepare for an October celebration of Dick’s 96th birthday, we are particularly interested in recollections of him and the gestalt practice work he offered. Many people have stories of gestalt sessions with Dick, interactions with him or impressions of him around the grounds at Esalen, or memories of his engagement with people and projects in Big Sur and beyond. Would you be willing to write or record yours?

If you are ready to share a story, an existing recording of your work with Dick, photographs, or other related materials, we would like to receive them by September 20, if possible, so that we can prepare them for the October Living Library event.

Beyond this particular invitation, the Library welcomes videos, audio recordings, photographs, documents, and other materials that add to the Archive. GPLRC can become a home for items you see as having historical or educational value within the mission and scope of the Library. By preserving and sharing them here, we can make them available to others who will value, enjoy, and learn from your contribution.
